Belvedere, covering a grassy 7-acre park on the western end, quickly became a symbol of urban renewal and community pride.
Adjacent to the park lies the renowned Louisville Waterfront Park, which opened its gates in the late 1990s. Connected by stairs and an elevator leading down to the wharf, these two green spaces complement each other seamlessly. In 2003, the Belvedere welcomed a remarkable addition—a statue by renowned sculptor Ed Hamilton.
